Now that you know the compatible devices, let's walk through the Jio eSIM activation process
- Locate your EID and IMEI numbers in the "About Phone" section of your device's settings. Note these down.
- Send an SMS to 199 with the format GETESIM<32 Digit EID><15 Digit IMEI> from your active Jio SIM device. Update your email ID if prompted and repeat the process.
- Upon receiving your eSIM number, send another SMS to 199 with SIMCHG <19-digit eSIM number>. Expect an update on your eSIM processing within 2 hours.
- After completing the above steps, send '1' to 183 and follow the instructions in the subsequent automated call and SMS to confirm your eSIM activation.
Upon completing the activation process, you'll need to set up the eSIM on your device. The configuration varies slightly for different eSIM-compatible devices, but don't worry - 101 INTERNET has your back!

For iPhone Users: |

You'll receive a notification to configure your device's profile. Open it and gently tap "Install Data Plan." Next, tap "Continue," and you're good to go! If you didn't receive a notification, navigate to your device's settings. There, you'll see "Jio Data Plan Ready to Install." Tap it, and on the following page, tap "Continue." You're now all set to enjoy eSIM services. If you neither received the notification nor see "Jio Data Plan Ready to Install," go to "Mobile Data" and tap "Add Data Plan." Select the Jio option, add the data plan, and press continue. You're now ready to roll! |

For Samsung Users: |
|
After completing the activation process, head to Settings, then Connections, and choose SIM Card Manager. Under the eSIM section, select "Add Mobile Plan" and pick "Scan Carrier QR Code." You won't need to scan a QR code, but you will have to input the code manually: "LPA:1$smdprd.jio.com$Activationcode." Replace "Activationcode" after the '$' symbol with the 32-digit activation code you received via SMS. Select "Connect," and your Jio eSIM should be operational shortly. |

For Google Phone (Pixel) Users: |
|
Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network. There, choose "Download a SIM Instead." Tap "Next," and on the "Scan the QR Code from Network" screen, select "Need Help," followed by the option to enter the code manually. Input the code manually as follows: "LPA:1$smdprd.jio.com$Activationcode." Replace "Activationcode" after the '$' symbol with the 32-digit activation code you received through SMS. Continue and activate your eSIM. Once the process is complete, select "Done" and revel in your Jio eSIM experience. |
